Organized as a limited partnership and domiciled in the United States, the fund is managed by United States Commodity Funds LLC and operates as a commodity pool. Its primary objective is to reflect the daily percentage changes in the spot price of Brent crude oil by investing in near-month Brent futures contracts traded on ICE Futures Europe, and rolling those contracts as they approach expiration to maintain continuous exposure. In addition to Brent futures, United States Brent Oil Fund, LP can hold cash and cash-equivalent instruments such as government money market funds to manage collateral and liquidity needs. The fund serves market participants seeking targeted access to the global crude oil benchmark used to price much of the world’s seaborne petroleum trade, playing a specialized role in the commodities segment of the financial markets.
