This index tracks the performance of companies primarily engaged in the cybersecurity segment of the technology and industrials sectors, focusing on those involved in building, implementing, and managing security protocols for private and public networks, computers, and mobile devices to protect data integrity and network operations. Eligible securities must meet criteria set by the Consumer Technology Association, including a worldwide market capitalization threshold, minimum trading volume, and free float requirements, with the index rebalanced quarterly and employing a free float market capitalization weighting methodology with individual security caps. The fund offers investors targeted exposure to the growing cybersecurity industry, encompassing software, telecommunications equipment, technology hardware, aerospace and defense, and industrial support services across multiple countries such as the United States, India, France, Israel, and others. Managed by First Trust Advisors L.P., it plays a key role in thematic investing strategies within the financial markets.
