Q Score is a placeholder (beta). There is no published fund score yet, so the values in the Q Score column are illustrative, not a real signal. Everything else on this page (manager, company, action, shares, value and quarter) is real 13F data from our database. Not investment advice.
About 13F fund activity
Quantellect tracks every 13F institutional holding disclosed to the SEC: about 2,400,757 positions worth $71.6T held by 8,741 hedge funds and asset managers across 10,159 companies in the latest quarter. Filter by action, sector, quarter, or position size, or search a specific manager or ticker. For trades by corporate insiders, see the insider trades page, and for lawmakers’ trades see Congress stock trades.
How to read this 13F data
Every row is a real position from a public SEC Form 13F filing: a manager, a stock, the share count, and the market value at quarter-end, with a label showing whether the position is new, added to, reduced, sold, or held. Because managers file within 45 days of quarter-end, this is a quarterly snapshot of institutional positioning rather than a live feed. Positions are ranked by market value by default; use the filters to focus on specific actions, sectors, quarters, or a minimum size. This is disclosed, historical activity, not a recommendation.
Frequently asked questions
What is a 13F filing?
A Form 13F is a quarterly report that institutional investment managers with at least $100 million in U.S. equities must file with the SEC. It discloses their long positions in U.S.-listed stocks: the security, the number of shares, and the market value at quarter-end. This page is built directly from those filings, so you can see what hedge funds and asset managers held, opened, added to, trimmed, or sold each quarter.
Who has to file a 13F, and when?
Any institutional investment manager (hedge funds, asset managers, banks, insurance companies, and registered investment advisers) that exercises investment discretion over $100 million or more in Section 13(f) U.S.-listed securities must file. Filings are due within 45 days of the end of each calendar quarter, so the March 31 quarter is disclosed by mid-May. That 45-day lag is why 13F data is a look back at positions, not a real-time feed.
What does a 13F show, and what does it leave out?
A 13F shows long positions in U.S.-listed stocks, options, and convertible bonds held at quarter-end. It does not show short positions, cash, most foreign-listed shares, or holdings below the reporting threshold, and it is a quarter-end snapshot rather than a live portfolio. Read it as a directional view of institutional conviction, not a complete picture of a fund.
What do the New, Added, Reduced, and Sold labels mean?
Each row compares a manager's position to the prior quarter. New means the manager opened the position that quarter; Added means they increased an existing one; Reduced means they trimmed it; Sold means they exited it entirely. Held (unchanged) means the share count did not change. The Value column is the position's market value at quarter-end (for a sold position, the value it was before being exited).
How can I see which funds bought or sold a specific stock?
Use the search box to filter the tape by ticker or company, and use the Action filter to narrow to New, Added, Reduced, or Sold. You can also pick any historical quarter and set a minimum position size to focus on the largest institutional moves. Every figure comes from the fund's own SEC 13F filing.
How far back does this 13F data go?
Our tape covers 13F filings across every reporting quarter we have compiled, going back decades rather than only the last year. You can select any past quarter to see the full cross-fund holdings picture for that period, which makes it possible to track how institutional positioning in a name has changed over time.
Not investment advice. 13F data is sourced from public SEC filings, which are filed with a delay of up to 45 days and may be amended. Values are the market value reported at quarter-end and describe historical, disclosed positions, not a recommendation. Always do your own research and consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
